Jim brought over 26 years of experience in the telecom industry when he joined Skypoint for a year as Entrepreneur-in-Residence in 2004. His tenure culminated in the formation of Gridpoint Systems Inc., which develops products to enable rapid delivery of managed Carrier Ethernet services while profitably supporting mission-critical service level agreements. Prior to joining Skypoint, Jim was founding CEO of the wireless startup DragonWave, for which he secured initial customers (including carriers) and grew revenues to over $3.5M per year by the time he departed. Prior to DragonWave, Jim was Executive Vice-President, Internetworking, at Newbridge Networks. His background also includes senior roles in manufacturing, marketing, product management, and business development.
